Fox News accuses Obama of Pre-K Konspiracy

Kudos to Think Progress for first reporting this.

Apparently President Obama is trying to run some “serious game” on our nation’s children. In this deafening little tidbit from Fox News (where else?, anchor Steve Doocy and commentator Stuart Varney accuse the Commander-In-Chief of trying to buy off the votes of 4-yr olds with his proposed national Pre-K program. I wish I could say this was an exaggeration, but it is the sad truth…

Varney: “Look what the President is doing here. It’s a repeat performance of his campaign, which is… you raise taxes on the rich, and you offer all kinds of ‘free stuff’ to people who will vote for you in the future… He’s buying votes with future tax-payer money.”

Yes because universal Pre-K is the kind of “free stuff” that Democrats like. Republican kids could care less about getting an educational head start. Except for when they live in states like Oklahoma or Georgia who already offer universal Preschool programs… and VERY popular ones at that. Unlike the clawing tooth and nail that happens in cities like New York and Chicago, every child in Oklahoma is guaranteed a spot in Pre-K. Funded by the good ‘ol Oklahoma taxpayers. O-K!!

It’s those very same programs that have paved the way for parts of rapidly-bluing Texas to do the same thing. Last November, the city of San Antonio passed a referendum to create Pre-K for SA, and because of that, all San Antonio kids will soon have universal Pre-school. If Obama’s really trying to win over the votes of kids, shouldn’t he start with the Liberal strongholds first? And as a man who has already been elected to a Second Term as President, Barack Obama literally has “nowhere to run”. The President is term-limited in the Constitution (as Fox News knows VERY well), so it wouldn’t exactly behoove him to waste so much energy into those 2030 eligible voters!!

I’ve seen some Fox News FAILS, but this one is a real DOOCY.
